Once again PFAC coaches were on attendance at this years Haverfoodfest which took place on 6th May at Picton Centre fields, Haverfordwest. Although official attendance figures have yet to be released, the event attracted a great a great turn from locals and visitors alike, no doubt encouraged by the good weather.
PFAC coaches were kept on there toes with virtually non stop action from mid morning to late afternoon. Young children (and the not so young!) formed a constant stream wanting to have a go at catching ducks floating in a tub of water using different lengths of fishing pole alongside another activity of trying to “catch” a sinister looking fish by means of a magnet at the end of quite a lengthy pole. Very serious stuff (!) and hugely enjoyed by the participants and onlookers.
PFAC partnered the event with Pembrokeshire Rivers Trust who displayed a sample of invertebrates from the local Western Cleddau – safely returned at the end of the day to the river.
